Service Desk Engineer Full Time / Permanent Outskirt of Southampton close to Chandlers Ford accessible by train / bus Salary £25k base + benefits We have been retained as a recruitment partner to a leading managed service provider, who require a Level 1 Service Engineer to start ASAP to join an existing growing team. The Service Desk Engineer within the Outsource Department is responsible for providing technical and service support on client site in Chandlers Ford on the outskirts of Southampton. The Role Providing Level 1 support through taking calls and handling the resulting Incidents or Service Requests, using the Incident Management and Request Fulfilment processes, in line with Technical Support objectives. Taking ownership of faults and managing them in a logical and methodical manner. Correctly logging incidents, categorising and prioritising them in line with company procedures. Identify and escalate any incidents to the appropriate level when necessary. Excellent customer service providing proactive, reactive and service management to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through advice, guidance and technical support within SLAs and business KPI's. Solution focused approach to problem solving Ability to take accountability for own actions and constantly strives for greater results. Autonomous self-starter, able to acquire new knowledge and skills quickly Confident and professional with excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills Customer and stakeholder focused Must thrive in a high growth, fast-paced work environment Flexible working style, able to work as a team and independently on own initiative as required Methodical and accurate when applying technical solutions Analytical and demonstrates high level of attention to detail A high level of customer service, business analytical and commercial awareness skills Sets a positive professional example to colleagues and other Able to analyse and investigate issues, identify causes and implement robust resolutions Ability to adhere to company processes and procedures and recommend improvements when required Ability to use knowledge gained as a continuous means of progression and improvement Excellent time management and time recording Knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook and other office applications Be able to convey empathy to end users and quickly identify their issue and appropriate resolutions Ability to communicate technical information effectively to customers Ability to respond to customer queries and deal with complaints in an appropriate, professional manner Ability to work well under pressure Able to collaborate with other team members to work together to achieve shared goals and deliver value to end users.We are keen to see candidates with a good mix of the following: Minimum of 1-2 years' work experience in a Level 1 technical role for a managed service provider Experienced working in a high availability environment, working on live systems where reliability, uptime and meeting SLA's are crucial Proven customer-centric IT service delivery experience Strong Microsoft Office suite skills Experience of supporting and administering M365 / O365 cloud services Good knowledge of IT concepts and architectures Experience of advanced problem-solving ability and troubleshooting Able to communicate clearly and concisely to all levels Excellent customer service skills for both internal and external customers Grounded IT experience with a high general technical competence and a good breadth of knowledge Experience of handling customer complaints, dealing with technical incidents and taking ownership from reporting through to resolutionPlease apply for more details.
