Senior Safety Engineer Duration: 6 Month Contract Location: Salisbury (1 or 2 days onsite weekly, for customer meetings or site visit, safety panel or team meeting) Umbrella - Inside IR35 Daily Pay Rate from £560 up to £730 Per Day Please note that all applicants must be eligible for SC clearance as a minimum. Role Overview The Senior Safety Engineer will provide Air, Land and Weapons Projects with the safety engineering skills to support facility investment projects. Tasking will be provided and supervised by the Project Manager and Principal Safety Engineers, but a degree of self-starter experience will be necessary. The primary output for this role will be provision of safety engineering expertise to deliver defined artefacts in support of projects to our clients. Artefact production will include but not be limited to the development of Safety Management Plans The applicant should possess analytical skills to develop safety arguments and examine evidence to ensure it substantiates the assertions made. Ability in the use of safety engineering tools and techniques together with excellent report writing skills is essential for the delivery of output. What do you need? Have ability in the use of safety engineering tools and techniques together with excellent report writing skills is essential for the delivery of output. Knowledge and experience working with platform/equipment regulatory organisations. Experience of composing safety cases for HI hard real-time systems. Experience of composing safety cases using Multi Core Processors not just Single Core Processors. Evidence of applied arguments, hazard analysis, FMECA, FFA and mitigations in providing ALARP pragmatic solutions.Projects using some of the following standards: Def-Stan 00-56 Sil-3. DO178 Assurance Level B. ED109A Assurance Level 2. Tool qualification standards e.g., ED215. What will you be doing? The Senior Safety Engineer will provide Air, Land and Weapons Projects with the safety engineering skills to support facility investment projects. Provide safety advice and support into a range/facilities upgrade project (land or maritime safety equipment background would be beneficial) You will support time estimates for inputs to bids. The Senior Safety Engineer will be delivering solutions to meet different customer's requirements in parallel.
