Our client is one of the largest manufacturers of ready to eat food products and supplies to both retailers and foodservice operations across the UK. They are currently looking to recruit 2 QA Auditors based near Corby on a 6 month contract basis 1 opportunity is working Days 6am - 6pm and the other is working Nights 6pm - 6am The successful QA Auditors will report to the shift QA Supervisor, this is a key role within a small close team. You will be responsible for various daily, weekly and monthly tasks and supporting the business to deliver products which are safe, legal and to the quality their customers expect. Working as part of a team of people who are responsible for the following: Responsible for ensuring food safety, legality, authenticity and quality are maintained on site. Supporting to build a strong food safety and quality culture on site. Conduct factory audits (GMP, Fabrication, GHP, CCP) according to team schedules, evaluate the audit findings and implement appropriate corrective actions. Raise non-conformances to the relevant departments, agree the necessary corrective actions and timescales. Make decisions regarding non-conforming product, raw materials or WIP with the QA supervisor and QA Manager. Carrying out product, swab, water and air plate sampling and investigations into out of spec results. Work with other departments to support investigations and ensure appropriate corrective action in the event of trending issues from a variety of sources e.g. customer complaints, internal NCs. Supporting in site audits (internal, external, food safety etc.), ensuring the factory is audit ready every day, presenting traceability exercises or areas of responsibility Prepare reports to communicate outcomes of quality investigations. Organise daily product monitoring analysis panels to verify conformance to specification. To ensure that microbiological samples are sent out according to schedule, samples are correctly and efficiently logged onto the external laboratory portal. Update and maintain all relevant QA databases and schedules and ensure tasks are completed to schedule. Carry out traceability exercises.Ideal QA Auditor candidates will have previous similar experience within a high risk food manufacturing environment. Key skills and competences required: Desirable but not essential as full training will be provided for the right candidate: Have experience within an FMCG environment Have good problem solving and decision-making skills Have a good knowledge of HACCP, Hold HACCP level 2 Hold Food Safety level 3 Good communication skills, both verbal and written Good numerical skills Computer literateThe salary range for the QA Auditor roles is £23,000 - £28,000 pro rata depending on experience and shift (i.e days or nights).
