I am seeking an Accounts Purchase Ledger Team Leader who is experienced in all aspects of Purchase Ledger work and has team leadership skills in order to supervise the workflow my clients Purchase Ledger department. The ideal Accounts Purchase Ledger Team Leader should have the ability to work in a high volume fast paced environment along with having excellent IT skills. Candidates need to be a positive team player with the ability to liaise on all levels with colleagues and suppliers. Ideally you will have or be working towards a recognised accounting qualification. Key Responsibilities & Accountability Scanning, stickering, keying and de-registering of invoices from internal and external suppliers in an accurate and timely manner. Create and maintain authorised purchase ledger accounts as required. Ensure the reconciliation of suppliers statements with purchase ledger accounts and resolve all queries promptly. Prepare cheques for signatory from requests which are properly prepared and authorised in accordance with company procedures and process to correct nominal and purchase ledger accounts. Maintain accurate and up to date electronic accounts (i.e. on Drive) for suppliers. Resolve queries from staff and suppliers relating to purchase ledger accounts. Process bank statements daily when required to the correct purchase ledger and nominal accounts. Prepare computer payment runs to pay properly reconciled suppliers accounts by cheque or BACS and print and send out remittance advices. Ensure that payments to suppliers are properly recorded on purchase ledger accounts for audit purposes. To ensure the companys post/mail is correctly franked and ready for collection on time. Ensure the safe and secure use of the credit card and reconcile the monthly statement. Ensuring all TV licenses are up to date.Team Leadership Lead, develop, coach and train four Purchase Ledger Clerks. Support your team to resolve any queries. Oversee team office hours and holiday allocations ensuring adequate cover at all times.Qualifications/Skills Accounting qualification (ideally AAT) or qualified by experience. Purchase ledger experience. Team leadership experience would be beneficial but not necessary. Excellent IT skills. Excellent communicator
