Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Ability to demonstrate effective skills of listening, speaking, and writing. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with team members, school personnel, parents, students and outside agencies. Works with principal, support staff, teachers, and parents to improve health services. Assist school personnel with completion of incident/accident reports.

Demonstrates initiative in performance of assigned responsibilities, potential problems or opportunities for improvement. Exhibits interpersonal skills to work as an effective team member. Follows attendance, punctuality and proper dress rules. Maintains expertise in assigned area and manages time efficiently. Models and maintains high ethical standards. Participates successfully in the training programs offered to increase skills and proficiency related to assignment. Represents the district and agency in a positive and professional manner

Physical Requirements: May require lifting up to 50 pounds. May require the transfer/assistance of a student in a wheelchair to attend to personal needs etc. Use of proper body mechanics are required and expected. Mobility expected to be able to transverse large school campus for emergencies and services on campus other than schools clinic. 75% - 100% hearing and eyesight required.

Qualifications:

Minimum - This occupation requires licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse in accordance with Chapter 464, Florida Statutes and in accordance with Rule 64B9, Florida Administrative Code. and American Heart First Aid and CPR certification
