The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing maintenance tasks including supporting daily manufacturing operations and equipment and maintaining effective preventive maintenance plans. Responsibilities include troubleshooting of mechanical, pneumatic and electrical systems and machine control issues and equipment performance improvement projects.
Maintain plant equipment and perform any general maintenance
Perform preventive maintenance of critical plant equipment on a regular basis
Repair building components, utility systems and mechanical and electrical equipment
Provide a high level of troubleshooting, diagnostic, and repair of plant equipment and equipment components which include but are not limited to: autoclaves, freeze dryers, sealers, filling equipment, mixers, compressors; pumps, piping, and plumbing component
High school diploma or GED required with 3 years of mechanical systems repair
Clean room, Medical Device, Pharma, or Food / Beverage Manufacturing experience is preferred
Must be familiar with plant SOPs and corporate specifications, critical quality systems and local GMP practices
Requires familiarity with GMP in a clean room setting
Must follow safety rules and ensure compliance with state and federal EPA regulation and laws
Assist in manufacturing projects / studies
Participate in lean manufacturing activities and initiatives, such as 6S, visual management, kaizens
Computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Excellent communication skills
Familiarity with PLC's, VFD's, and other logic based controllers
Ability to troubleshoot electrical circuits
Ability to individually lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Must be able to bend/stoop, squat, climb, reach above shoulder level, reach at or below shoulder level, twist and bend at the neck, twist and bend at the waist and balance
Normal visual acuity is necessary including the ability to distinguish colors
