IT Technical Support Officer£25,000Monday to FridayScarborough based40 hours a weekThe Role:We need a confident and self-sufficient individual to support our clients IT and associated infrastructure. This position is currently the only IT role within the organisation although this is supported by the external IT partner and the Group Operations Manager, who this role also reports into. Due to the nature of the setup of IT with our client this role will span various areas of expertise, the role holder will deal with the day-to-day IT needs of the business along with involvement on all projects and initiatives that require IT input.Key responsibilities, Ownership of the internal IT Helpdesk 1st/2nd Line Support of IT issues/tasks/requests received via the IT Helpdesk Providing technical support to users both face to face and remotely, seeing all incidents through to resolution Install, configure and support operating systems and applications Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults Support the roll-out of new applications Work on various projects and new initiatives, taking the lead in some instances Set up new users' accounts and profiles and deal with ongoing administration of these Documentation of processes and procedures from both an IT Support perspective as well as the end user Support the telephony needs of the business and associated reporting Establish and maintain a working relationship with various 3rd party suppliers Manage all the company's mobile hardware covering Laptops, Mobile and Tablets Manage all IT inventory Produce weekly/monthly reporting and collation of relevant KPIs Assist in ensuring the business is always looking at continual improvement with regards to IT and better ways of working.Also, there are several exciting projects coming along which will require significant input from the IT Technical Support Officer, Replacement of the current Property Management System in the Lettings business Main server upgrade and virtualisation Tablet upgrade project (Android)This role is Scarborough based although our client has a satellite office in Manchester, while support for the Manchester office is mainly carried out remotely there may be a requirement for occasional travel to the Manchester office.Skills, Qualification & Experience Required: Confident and competent in Microsoft Server and Workstation Operating Systems, Microsoft 365 Administration and Office Suite of products - Essential Networking or computer engineering qualification (HND or higher) - Desirable ITIL service management foundation or better - Desirable Relevant experience in the installation and maintenance of ICT equipment - Essential Database Administration experience - Desirable Working knowledge of VOIP applications and administration - Essential Microsoft Excel - Advanced Skills - Essential A working knowledge of network systems, their installation/maintenance and adaptation - Essential Well organised, able to approach work methodically, prioritise and meet deadlines - Essential Good written and verbal communication skills - Essential Good interpersonal and team working skills - Essential Problem solving skills - Essential GCSE (or equivalent) English, Maths, ICT- Essential At least 2 years' experience in a similar role - Essential Benefits This is a permanent role with a salary of £25, days holiday each calendar year plus bank holidays (these total 31 days off with the inclusion of Bank Holidays) Working Hours are 40 hours per week Monday to Friday, although there will be a requirement for some occasional 'out of hours' work Flexible working options Company Pension Scheme Health Cover Gym Membership Social Events 0% loans available Modern working environment with ample free parkingIf you are interested in this exciting position please apply now or call us on for more information.
