Job Role: IT Manager (HR & Payroll) Salary: Upto £25ph Umbrella Location: Hertfordshire 20 Hours per week / Full time hours available Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm flexible Temporary Hybrid role: 6 month contract with a possibility of extension 1 day in office rest remote Benefits: Commutable area with easy access to public transport Up to 28 days paid holiday Job security dependant on performance and work ethic Free parking available on site the day you decide to go inAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and self-motivated IT Manager within a Local Authority in Hertfordshire The main responsibilities of this IT Manager role is: To ensure delivery, development and integration of all software systems and technology used for providing HR and Payroll services across the Council. User support services - First line technical and operational support services for users and teams. Project management services - Planning and delivery of system improvement projects to drive business efficiency. System change projects relating to any upgrades, new systems or development of applications, system interfaces and automation. Strategic planning programme - Planning and engaging teams regarding options for meeting strategic business needs, including new technologies and legislative changes. To be responsible for delivery of the first line support service for users of any HR and Payroll software systems and technologies. To direct and progress any critical support calls escalated and liaise with contracted/supplier IT support services to ensure prompt resolution of all requests. To lead on the planning and delivery of improvement projects, such as system upgrades, new technologies, system interfacing, cloud migration, workflow and automation. To include thorough user acceptance testing and change control. ensuring full roll-out and communication of any changes.Skills required for this IT Manager role: Experience dealing with HR and Payroll queries/processes (desirable) Experience resolving 1st line support tickets Substantial experience of system administration and system management Flexible work approach and excellent communication skills Good knowledge of systems and upgrade module roll-out Experience using Resource Link (Zellis payroll system) Project Management/Management would be a bonusClients are looking to interview for this IT Manager role and shortlist shortly, so please submit your CV promptly for consideration.
