We have an exciting opportunity for an HR Manager to join our team based in Welham Green. You will be joining us on a full-time, permanent basis and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of up to £45,000 per annum plus benefits. Davall Gears is a long-established UK manufacturer and supplier for the design and production of gearing systems and specialist gearboxes. Established in 1886, the company have been long associated with the supply of precision gears to companies across the world. Certified to AS9100 Rev D and accredited to Nadcap special process EDM machining. Davall is a specialist in the aerospace and defence power transmission field and has an in-house design and technical department to call upon for the development, prototype and manufacture of systems and assemblies for commercial, medical, military and aerospace industries. Working hours: 39 hours, Monday to Thursday 08:00am to 5:00pm and Fridays 08:00am to 1:00pm. Benefits of joining us as our HR Manager: 25 days holiday Competitive pension plan (employer contribution 6%) Life Assurance About the HR Manager role: The HR Manager will perform a diverse range of assignments including, some recruiting, employee relations, supporting HR policy development and process improvement, employee events, training, and other projects for our Davall site in conjunction with our parent company in the US. Key Duties of our HR Manager role will include: Applying HR and business knowledge evidencing appropriate decision making skills Advising managers on the terms and conditions of employment and knowledge sharing best practice with them Managing complex employee relations casework including dispute resolutions, disciplinaries, grievances, absence, retirement and redundancy Maintaining Employee data from new starters through to leavers Developing HR policy and procedures to drive performance and mitigate disputes Implementing learning and development policy Providing first line advice on current and existing benefits for employees and managers Working with appropriate parties on reward strategy Providing advice on recruitment and selection strategies in line with MTI & Steel Inc rules Supporting the recruitment process this may include writing job descriptions and preparing interview questions and application forms etc Essential Skills, Experience & Competencies we re looking for in our HR Manager: Educated to degree level or equivalent and CIPD Level 5 qualification At least 5 years experience in a standalone HR role in a SME Manufacturing environment Demonstrated experience proactively sourcing strong talent in a tight labor market Trustworthiness and maturity to handle confidential information with exceptional integrity Experience controlling and coordinating concurrent projects, competing priorities and critical deadlines with process driven results and a continuous improvement (Kaizen) mindset Strong judgment and decision-making skills, analytical and fact based with an eye towards innovation Excellent UK Employment law knowledge Strong judgment and decision-making skills, analytical and fact based with an eye towards innovation Self-motivated and displays a sense of urgency and strong initiative to drive to results Highly organized, flexible, and able to quickly adapt from one situation to the next Possesses a high degree of detail/accuracy, business acumen and emotional intelligence Problem-solving, coaching, counselling, conflict resolution and decision-making skills with composure and a high level of customer service/consulting skills Excellent communication skills, ability to work effectively with both employees and generalists Knowledge and comfort utilizing various HRIS systems and proficiency in Microsoft office products If you would like to join us, please click apply today to be considered as our HR Manager we would love to hear from you
