Core Group are pleased to offer an excellent opportunity for the right candidate. The position of HSE Manager is available in Penn. HSE Manager Telecoms / Utilities Location: Penn Salary: £40-£60,000 depending on experience. Description: The ideal candidate will have experience working on utilities, telecommunications, or Construction/build related projects within a Health and Safety role and have a collaborative, positive approach to influencing Health and Safety. You ll be responsible for the safety of all employees, contractors and customers and the aim of your role will be to make sure that services are provided on a first class basis, with efficiency and minimal risk and see that everyone that is touched by the business remains safe and well. All applicants must be eligible to work in the UK and being GradIOSH or CMIOSH is advantageous but not essential. Main Duties and Responsibilities: Supporting and working with project teams to ensure high standards of compliance and behaviours regarding health and safety Adhere to relevant legislation and ensure it is being complied with regarding health and safety, including the compliance with national and international standards. Ensure a high level of HSE performance through regular audits and identify areas for improvement, including Supporting the management team with matters regarding performance, standards, and compliance to develop solutions and business processes. Managing, reviewing, and reporting on data regarding health and safety related issues to be able to identify areas for improvement Coordinate and where necessary lead any accident/incident investigation and reporting. Carrying out SHE audits and inspections as well as recording your findings Communicate clearly, consistently and in a timely manner with Clients and Company colleagues. Manage the HSE team ensuring that processes are followed. The review and redesign of business processes and procedures to improve performance and deliver continual improvement The Health and Safety Manager will have: Proven experience working in a health and safety role within the utilities/telecomms/Construction sector NEBOSH diploma or equivalent GradIOSH / CMIOSH advantageous. Experience with NRSWA essential. Strong communication and relationship building skills Eligibility to work in UK and hold security clearance ideally A proven track record of developing, implementing and integrating policies. An understanding of the regulatory sector and the management of risk Experience of building a strong and consistent culture of safety throughout an organisation.
