Job Description We are recruiting for a HSE Engineer to Join our framework delivery team. The Generation Services business team supports our key client in Energy Nuclear Generation with regards their nuclear fleet in the UK. This is a key role within our Project Management Resource team which is spread across our UK network at all UK sites and stations. You will be part of a large client lead team at Hinkley Point B Power Station and this role will support multiple projects within their UK wide project portfolio which may include existing generation, nuclear defueling, nuclear new build and/or nuclear decommissioning. You as the HSE Engineer are accountable provide positive leadership on HSE matters within the Portfolio Project Teams and promote the adoption of best practice, with an enthusiastic HSE culture that delivers positive commitment to and engages all employees in continuous improvement in HSE performance. -The HSE Engineer will monitor and report on the effectiveness of the HSE Management system and progress against HSE Performance Standards and will make recommendations for improvement as appropriate. -The HSE Engineer is accountable to the client PPM or equivalent Group Head, with functional responsibilities to the client HSE Lead. -The role will be based at Hinkley Point B Power Station and will require from time to time, business travel to UK sites/stations. -Everyone working in our team will have a proven track record of working within highly regulated environments with high safety standards and culture. -Strong communication and organisational skills are a must with the ability to develop relationships and maintain effective networks and be results-focussed tempered with a team-centred approach. -Everyone working in our team will need the ability to obtain CTC or SC level UK security clearance. Qualifications -HNC in a relevant technical discipline or equivalent. -Current qualification/knowledge of the CDM Regulations. -Minimum NEBOSH General Certificate, Construction Certificate or NVQ Level 3 -Member of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) desirable -IEMA Foundation Certificate in Environmental Management -Operational knowledge of current HSE legislation associated with project work -Good communication skills and the ability to develop network and working relationships with other groups involved in project delivery -Suitable relevant experience working as a HSE Professional in a project context.
