ROLE PURPOSE: The purpose of the job is to provide a comprehensive and high-quality HR service to the business, advising on best practice HR and the application of this when dealing with casework. Please note this role can be based in any of our GBS campuses but travel to other sites may be required. Main Responsibilities: Ensure the delivery of efficient ER service, ensuring excellent standards of customer service are maintained and legal compliance is achieved by providing timely and accurate advice on Company HR policies and procedures in line with business and legal requirements. Advise and coach managers in relation to HR best practice (using various methods such as regular communications, manager toolkits etc.,) covering the full spectrum of people issues, work in partnership with managers to ensure that casework is resolved in a professional manner, in line with policy timescales, and that HR and Company knowledge is used to ensure that appropriate decisions are made. With the assistance of senior HR colleagues, take steps to minimise the risk and cost of both current and potential case work including supporting the senior management team in the preparation of case documentation, any SAR requests and employment tribunal reports and case files. Build and maintain familiarity with HR Legislation and HR policies and procedures and assist senior HR colleagues with policy and process reviews. Effectively use the HR information system and Microsoft Office programs to input and update data, ensuring that information is input correctly and on a consistent and timely basis, in line with departmental needs and deadlines Respond to employee queries and concerns and escalating concerns appropriately in a professional manner. Thorough understanding of applying HR policies and procedures within in the areas of employee conduct, sickness and absence, performance, grievance, disciplinary, investigations, dismissal Conducting exit interviews and identifying potential trends that can be later used for advising senior management on key ER Essential Skills and Experience Experience within an ER Advisory capacity with experience in multi-site and Global implementation as a subject matter expert is key The role holder will have achieved or be actively engaged with attaining a level 3 to 5 (or equivalent) HR qualification Ability to work within a fast-paced environment Ability to multitask, prioritise and deliver to timelines and Highly organized/ able to manage your own workload. Have provided guidance and coaching via telephone, email, reports, interviews, in person to line managers Worked within a large business with trade union expertise is advantageous
