Job Description:

DPHM Senior Engineer Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning

This role is based in Diagnostics, Prognostics and Health Management (DPHM) within the Control and Diagnostic Systems (CDS) organization (Engineering).

Responsibilities include:

Support incoming Machine Learning requests and opportunities that result from both commercial and military engine field investigations.

Manage and support requests to collect, to review, and to cleanse field investigation data prior to performing Machine Learning analysis as necessary.

Analyze, decompose, document, and deliver all relevant Machine Learning findings that may result from field investigations.

Participate in, and support IPT, SSIPT, EDSIT, SIPT, and CIPT meetings that may result from field investigations.

Participate in, and / or coordinate root cause investigation efforts with stakeholders who may be either internal or external to DPHM and / or CDS.

Work in a fast-paced investigative environment while paying close attention to detail, to deadlines, and to reporting.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related technical field with 5 years of prior relevant work experience, or
  • Advanced Degree in Engineering or a related technical field with 3 years of prior work experience is required.
  • Working prior knowledge of Machine Learning platforms (i.e. DataBricks, DataRobot, MathWorks, DataIku, etc.) and Free and Open-Source Software (i.e. - Python and related solutions, etc.) are required.
  • U.S. Citizenship (or permanent resident status) is required.

    Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with engine systems is preferred.
  • Practical to substantial knowledge of RTX systems and the ability to either make or leverage enhancements in daily work is required.
  • Comfort with both developing and delivering periodic presentations to management (either formal or ad-hoc) is required.
  • Practical knowledge of project management is preferred.
  • Possessing a desire for continuous learning and innovation is preferred.
  • Demonstrating reliability, initiative, and a desire to learn is preferred.
