So many companies talk about a great culture, but these guys have struck the balance perfectly.....
They are passionate about strong ethical trading, they've been carbon neutral for 2 years and they are massive advocates of equality and diversity, they don't micromanage, what's more they have full embraced hydrid working.
They have fabulous high-tech offices in central London, but as their business Development Manager you can spend as little or as much time here as you want to.
Your boss will remotely support you, he's on hand when you need him, massively experienced in Business Development, before he joined 18 months ago they didn't really have a sales process but he has built a strong team from the ground up, and now he needs you "the hunter" as a more senior member of his team to take this to the next level.
The majority of your time as Business Development Manager will be in your own home office which they will kit out for you and you will be on the phone reaching out to new business opportunities and talking to them about the unique offering these guys have, you aren't someone who is pushy with sales, you are natural on the phone, people buy into you and your goal is to get them onto a discovery call to show them the power of this platform.
The people you are wanting to talk to are the bigger hitters, the multisite companies that will provide some meaty contracts.
You are someone who loves researching and hunting down the decision maker, maybe you drop them a message on linkedin or drop them an email, either way you know how to get into their space.
The product is techy and you will be talking them through this on the call and the demo, so if you are technology shy then this one probably won't be for you, however if you love a bit of new tech, and have worked within that space either in the security, Facilities management or software sales market and fancy working for a company that reward extremely well, nurture careers and give you the flexibility to have a life as well as a career, you might need to work around a school run, or you may have other commitments that require some flexibility then this could be perfect!
The bonus package is great, you get 10% of Net Profit, completely flat structure, we all know how great it is as a salesperson to be able to quickly calculate what that deal is going to earn you in your pocket!
The salary is very competitive for a home based business development manager role, you can earn a basic of 40-42k and your achievable OTE is 60k.
The additional benefits are:
- 25 days holiday
- 3% pension
- Private medical
- You won't need a car because you wont be face to face with your customers.
Although the company are based in London, in all honesty if you are prepared to go into the office once a week at most (and that's not a given) you could live anywhere.
